hi ,
if anyone order from vatican new eshop please tell us, what is going with the taxes.
for example i order 2x2 euro coins Price with shipping is 52 euro and taxes 7,86 euro (check photo below)
so this mean i don't pay extra taxes from custom here in Greece or they add it later?
In previous vatican eshop, taxes wasn't included in price and Greek custom add the taxes.
so if i pay 2 times fees is not worth to buy from them.

Send message to Vatican and ask them
Normaly you don't have to pay another custom taxes.
For now it is simpler and cheaper to buy vatican's coins from a local retailer.

Re: new order from Vatican eshop
hi jore, thanks for the reply, i got an answer from a greek friend who just order
Shipping is done with ups and is not pass custom procedure (past method),
so all taxes are included in the vatican eshop and probably are valid for all european countries
as for the chepear for new release 2025 cc now dealers prices are not cheap. or they don't know what prices will be
if you see sale in ebay price are up.

Re: new order from Vatican eshop
My story begins with the new Vatican eShop.
As many of you already know, the new registration process was unnecessarily complicated for both new and existing customers. Fortunately, I have been a registered customer since 2008, and over the years I have regularly purchased at least one or two Vatican coins annually.
end of March, I placed a new order through the new eShop (9 coins) . After waiting three months, the order finally arrived—but without any shipping notification or email from CFN and with no invoice. to check for these you have to login to eshop.
During those three months, I sent several emails asking about the status of my order. The only replies I received were, generic responses stating that the delivery time was approximately three months, with no specific information about my order.
so keep in mind all these if you thinking to order

Re: new order from Vatican eshop
today news from CFN
----
We would like to inform you of an important regulatory update concerning all shipments dispatched from Vatican City to European Union countries.
Council Regulation (EU) 2026/382 of 11 February 2026, which amends Regulation (EC) No 1186/2009 with regard to the elimination of threshold-based customs duty relief, entered into application on 1 July 2026. This Regulation abolishes the customs duty relief previously applicable to consignments with an intrinsic value of up to EUR 150.
Consequently, orders placed through our e-shop with a total value of €150 or less will incur an additional customs duty of €3 for each type of product in the package, in accordance with the Regulation's temporary measure for consignments with an intrinsic value not exceeding €150.
To minimise the additional costs arising from this regulatory change, CFN will charge a single contribution of EUR 3 for orders below the aforementioned threshold, regardless of the number of customs classifications applicable to the goods contained in the consignment, without passing on any further related costs.
