I see it is an old issue, and maybe from the old server, but although I can't remember any problem in the past, it seems that I don't receive any notification when I receive a private message.
Any idea?

During the last server change I noticed same "no notification" error again.
But now after 1-2 days running this forum on the new site all seems to be OK again.
