No BU is not a problem, but no 2€ CC will mean they will loose a lot of collectors I think.
I collect all 2€ CC in BU or at least UNC quality and when Finland does not make them available anymore I think I stop collecting Finnish coins, I'm just not satisfied with circulation quality...

I can only agree with Luit when it does, I will do without Finland in my collections.

today a msg from FI Government concerning 2 CC

Mint of Finland
Announcement regarding Finnish euro coins

Dear customer,

Mint of Finland has won the Ministry of Finance’s public tender for the production of Finnish circulation euro coins, including €2 special coins. The contract period is from 1 June 2019 to 31 December 2022, and includes an option for two-year extension. This agreement does not include the sale of coin sets and €2 special coins.

The Ministry of Finance’s tender for the sale and marketing of Finnish commemorative coins, coin sets and €2 special coins was won by Oy Nordic Moneta Ab. The contract between the Ministry of Finance and Nordic Moneta runs from 1 December 2019 to 31 December 2022, and includes an option for two one-year extensions. Their agreement also includes the production of Finnish commemorative coins.

Finnish euro commemorative coins and €2 special coins minted before 2019 may still be bought from Mint of Finland’s webshop and from retailers. According to information we have received from the Ministry of Finance, the €2 special coin for 2019 is not available for sale to collectors until further notice. The Ministry of Finance will announce separately whether or not other collector coin products, such as the Constitution Act of Finland 1919 special coin will be made available for sale this year.

In questions concerning the sale and issue of new Finnish special coins, we kindly ask you to contact the Ministry of Finance direct at valtiovarainministerio@vm.fi

Mint of Finland will continue to pursue its chosen strategy of focusing on international central bank customers. In 2018, exports of circulation coins and blanks accounted for 93% of the company’s revenue. Mint of Finland considers it important to overhaul the Finnish commemorative coin institution with a view to preserving the vitality of the commemorative coin business.

Further news.. Some finnish people (very few) bought 15-20 coins in a shop (where they sold single pieces only and not rolls) and they are gone in 5 minutes.. they told me that's a rare coin with 500.000 of mintage.. :D' shame

How can you be sure to get UNC coins when they were mixed in other rolls? This really is a shame!

But I expect the coin will become available in the future in some way. The company Nordic Moneta who won the tender surely subscribed for the contract with making profit as main reason, and when you don't issue coins you don't get any profit.

Here the first real image of new 2€ CC Finland 2019 Act in rolls..One question is mandatory.. If these coins go only in circulation with a low chance to get some and banks doesn't distribute rolls how it's possible that one finnish person got them?? is it science fiction or what? I want say only one thing "SHAME". Nobody expresses himself on their origin.

Regards
Antonio

I dont know what I should thinking about this picture.

When it is true that coins was gone in circulation, so maybe it is a coincident situation, that exactly this one coin was the first one in a sight roll.
Would be mor informatical when we could see the other rolls too.

For a final statistic we need more information or rolls as evidence. I am not sure, missing the access that Finnland 2019 has released this coin as rolls.
