Today announced the next year's Program (first time that early). It's pretty much similar to 2016 (only few mintages and the themes changed).

With this newsletter we inform you that the Ministry of Finance - General Accounting Office (G.A.O.) is pleased to announce that the Hellenic Numismatic Programme of 2017 is scheduled to include the issuance of the following products:


I. COMMEMORATIVE CIRCULATION COINS
• €2 Commemorative circulation coin dedicated to: “ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF PHILIPPI” (maximum issue 744,000 pieces)
• €2 Commemorative circulation coin dedicated to: “60 YEARS IN MEMORIAM OF NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS” (maximum issue 744,000 pieces)

II. COLLECTOR COINS
• €200 GOLD COIN DEDICATED TO: “GREEK CULTURE – PHILOSOPHERS – DIOGENES” (maximum issue 1,000 pieces)
• €100 MINI GOLD PLUS COIN DEDICATED TO: “GREEK MYTHOLOGY – THE OLYMPIAN GODS – ATHENA” (maximum issue 1,200 pieces)
• €50 MINI GOLD COIN DEDICATED TO: “CULTURAL HERITAGE – MINOAN CIVILISATION” (maximum issue 1,500 pieces)
• €10 SILVER COIN DEDICATED TO: “GREEK CULTURE – PHILOSOPHERS – DIOGENES” (maximum issue 2,000 pieces)
• €10 SILVER COIN DEDICATED TO: “GREEK CULTURE – LYRIC POETS – SAPPHO” (maximum issue 2,000 pieces)
• €6 MINI SILVER COIN DEDICATED TO: “INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM FOR DEVELOPMENT” (maximum issue 1,500 pieces)

III. SPECIAL EDITIONS
• Coin card – blister with the €2 commemorative circulation coin dedicated to: “ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF PHILIPPI” (maximum issue 4,500 pieces)
• Coin card – blister with the €2 Commemorative circulation coin dedicated to: “60 YEARS IN MEMORIAM OF NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS” (maximum issue 4,500 pieces)
• Blister with €5 collector coin commemorating “175 YEARS FROM THE BIRTH OF NIKOLAOS GYSIS” (maximum issue 5,000 pieces)
• Blister set dedicated to: “GREEK TOURISM – CRETE” containing all eight denominations of 2017 greek euro coins (maximum issue 15,000 pieces)
• €2 Commemorative circulation coin (PROOF) dedicated to: “ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF PHILIPPI” (maximum issue 1,500 pieces)
• €2 Commemorative circulation coin (PROOF) dedicated to: “60 YEARS IN MEMORIAM OF NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS” (maximum issue 1,500 pieces)
• PROOF Coin Set containing all eight denominations of 2017 greek euro coins in a wooden box (maximum issue 1,200 pieces)

Nothing official yet... we are waiting the announcement from Ministry of Finance (usually 2 weeks before the issue).

Any news of what pieces will be circulating?
