For some time now, we've noticed an increase in offers for rare and mysterious, non-existent coins in France, selling for tens of thousands of euros (2002 € Greek coins with an S at the bottom of the star, for example).

We can also read fanciful articles about 2007 Monaco coins, and other proof-quality coins may be in your wallet. Of course, these Monaco coins are impossible to find in circulation.

We also note that some of these coins don't exist or are not rare. A few days ago, I saw a €2 Egyptian coin and a €2 Nelson Mandela coin!

All retail sites are affected.
I'd like to know if you're experiencing the same situation in your country?

there are few posts in facebook groups for rare coins like gr 2e with S or gr 2e with error europa and other supposed errors but most collectors know they are fakes or not exist these coins. gr retails shops so far not affected.

By the way Magneto, is it difficult to find E-F-S loose set? I collected all cents except Monaco, so started collecting some subtypes.

1,2,5cents with letters exist in starter kits, so yes is difficult to find in circulation, you can find from shops.
