My last personal experiences are: no news about a registered letter from Lithuania sent in 10.12.2020 (I think blocked in Vilnius yet or lost) and no news about a normal letter from Slovenia sent in 28.12.2020

In fact, the registered letter which I am expecting was posted on December 28...and left Slovenia on December 29, one day later.

But where is it???

Hi Jean,

Yes, that can be a solution. I have some big swaps planned and I can ask them to get the Cyprus coins and add them to the swap. I am not in a rush so I can wait for the coins. Sooner or later this will be fixed. Right now my concern is the letter that I post :) I hope it arrived sound and safe.

Just sharing my personal experience. Last year after covid, letter usually takes more than 15 days to arrive at the destination. In some cases, they took more than a month. Luckily, I had no problem to report.

Best regards,
André

One of my faithful collectors (on Numista) has planned a swap with somebody from Cyprus, but he knows there are no plane connection between Cyprus and Portugal.

So we decided that his swapper (in Cyprus) will send the coins to me and that I'll send them to Portugal when I receive them...A little complicated, but what else can we do?

Hi;

I didnt have serious problem I received a registered mail from Pranger today. He have sent them on 23th december.
However huge delays or loses from/to Cyprus -Spain. I am still waiting since two months ago for a normal courier and even a registered one since 18 th december. I believe they have air courier problems with more countries than the recognise.

I'm not sure, but I think that shipments from one EU country to another first travel to EU distribution center (one (or maybe even the only one?) of these centers is in Frankfurt Germany) and after that to destination country.
So...shipment from, for example, Slovenia to Italy, doesn't go directly to Milano, where Italian distribution center is, but it goes:
Ljubljana - Frankfurt - Milano...
I think delays are caused in these EU distribution centers.
I know this because in the past I waited on a shipment from Greece for more than a month. When my friend from Greece started tracking procedure it came out that shipment was forgotten in Frankfurt... :)

hi elvis ! what's up :)
you are right , the delays are in distribution centers, or sometimes called in transit, also this delay is random, recenlty i got a letter in one week, and others i waiting 2-3 weeks, both inside europe, different locations.

Hi, everybody

Finally I received to-day a package sent from Ljubljana (Slovenia) on December 21. So, I hope my other 2 packages will arrive soon.

Let us keep hoping :D

Take great care of yourselves. For my part I could get a "rendez-vous" next Friday for the vaccine :D I'm very happy

Jean
