This is probably just a scam to get people with no or little knowledge to get ripped off.

I think so.
Unfortunately all web site are plenty of this kind of sales.
After reading fake news on internet they think they have a very rare and expensive coins.

A work colleague found one in his change; seen the high prices online and asked me if he should hold onto it; I couldn't find any justification to why it was valuable but didn't want to say no in case it turns out differently.
I'm not very knowledgeable on circulated rare coins so i ask here where I'm sure there are some collectors/experts
