Malta honey bee 5E and 10E coins

Post by blackev »

Anyone got order form from Malta Coin Center for these coins yet?

I see some sites saying 'in stock's as opposed to 'pre-order'.

Here is some additional information regarding the lead up to these coins in case anyone is interested.

On the 1st Nov 2024 the Malta Coin Center sent emails regarding 'Collaboration' coins (The Bee Coins, The Eagle Coins, and the Set of Melita Gold Coin).
This email had a link where you could 'Pre-Order' the coins; with deadline 8th Nov 2024.

On the 19th November the Malta Coin Center sent a draft order for the purchase of The Eagle Coins with a reservation till 22nd November.
The Coins were shipped very shortly after purchase.

I ask about the Bee coins because I 'Pre-ordered' both the Eagle Coins and the Bee Coins however only recieved Draft order for the Eagle coins.
Since I have seen sellers claim the item is in stock I can only assume that the coins have been issued; but I am not so certain this is true.

Fyi: received a draft order on the two bee coins last week.

I can only guess that the Germania mint sold some of these coins before the Malta Coin Center.

Unfortunately I don't think a copy of the draft order would help you, the draft order is a link that adds the two coins to the basket; these draft orders were sent to anyone who pre-ordered the coins (see my second post).

To bee honest (sorry for the pun) I don't think it's such a great deal.
Not sure how other people got these coins up until now (perhaps from the Germania mint), but they had to have been cheaper than what the Malta Coin Center is charging (see image)

Unfortunately coin is mainly sold out and the only coins left are so expensive. :o
I collect silver coins but I never see before a so expensive 1oz silver BU coin.
