Re: Looking for Abbé Pierre
Everybody is looking for the Abbé Oierre (only 1 million mintage)
I live in Paris and i cannot know the day of issuance..The "Monnaie de Paris", the issuance authority...does not know yet anything about it...
It was supposed to be issued on friday July 13th...
Most of them are already reserved for the "merchants of the temple"...who will sell them immediately at least 6 euros....
Up to you....
Jean

Re: Looking for Abbé Pierre
Hi there Jean,
Yes, you are quite right indeed. This is a situation we are not used to considering the French coins. Normally, more than enough coins are issued and also available for French collectors / swappers.
I think 6 euros is quite a high, prices in the Netherlands are even a bit lower, but of course I understand swappers can't get these coins for nominal value and so I don't seek to swap this coin for nominal either.
Thanks for keeping me up-to-date.
