AASFN bad swapper?

Post by luit »

Maybe the official issuing organisation AASFN is not a real swapper, but bad they are certainly.

Last year me and my son both ordered the 2 euro CC and the proof set.
Beginning of march my creditcard was charged 2 times 12 euro, so that looks OK.
Somewhere in June we both recieved the 2 euro CC, no problem so far.
In november I received my proofset, but my son did not receive it.
I asked AASFN when I could expect the proofset for my son, and they replied that the current deposit of my son was only 76 euro, which was not enough for a proof set.
I replied that 125 - 19 should have been 106 and that they possible made a calculation error somewhere.
They replied they did not make a calculation error, but came with an explanation that they have send a FDC set in April.
I did never receive that set, and of course I did not miss it, because it was not ordered....
Now they refuse to send the proofset, and also they refuse to send the full 106 euro back.
My only conclusion can be that AASFN is a criminal organization and I already told them I will never order again from them when this is their way of customer service.

As if al this was not enough, they simply charged my credit card on 17-1-2013 again for 125 euro, I did not place any order for that nor did I authorize them for this amount.
I asked them to reverse that transaction too, but they offer only the possibility to transfer it to my bank acoount and they confirm they made a mistake, but DO NOT APOLOGIZE for it.....

In the meantime I filed a complaint at the fraud division of Visa Cards and we will see what happens.

I will order my San marino coins at a reliable coindealer in the future if I really need them, but maybe stop just collecting them at all.

My advise to all euroswapper members is to be very, very carefull when doing bussiness with AASFN.

Thats a very bad behavior from AASFN!
I had last year bad experiences too - the charged my credit card 2 times for 1 commemorative coin. But they didn't send 2 coins but only 1. They told me they will hold my money for my next order. So they have a credit for a whole year! Thats not very nice!
It seems that they don't earn enough money and try in any way to get money.
And another bad thing from AASFN, when you read the shipping statement from them, you can see that they will not give replacement (not money neither coins) if coins are lost - although they are taking enough money for shipping fee... The full risk is for the customer - I have never seen such shipping rules from any dealer!

And their coins are every year more expensive...

We do not have to buy from them!!!! We can get the San Marino coins from coin dealer or auctions - and sometimes much cheaper!

I never had a problem like this with San Marino (since 2003) but I use a debit card (which takes money from an account with few money) so I don't know if they tried to get more.
On the other hand the shipping costs are really high this year.
You can find prices from coin dealers and german ebay very close to issue price.
Last year I ordered the Proof set because I collect the 2E CC in Proof and I see that the prices are close to issue price in ebay.
Beside that I could buy only the 2E CC with 50E less than the whole set.
When I saw the prices I realized that it doesn't worth to give them the money now and wait for a whole year.
Perhaps I'll take only the 2E CC BU.

Aand I have a strange thing too with them... In my balance there are 2,5Euro available and they never use them. They always charge the full amount and they don't use these 2,5E.
It's a very small amount so I don't mind, but I wonder if they do the same when there is a higher amount like jason said.

Hi Vangelis

2´5 euros from you plus 2´5 euros from me plus 1´5 euros from my wife.... how many customers have San Marino?

As they do with you, same for me, they never use this money.

And I thought it was only me... interesting.
I just had an idea to autorize them to get only 21,5E from my card this year in order to use the 2,5E.
We will see what happens. I'll inform you.

1 year ago I used the same method as you described here (in my balance there was ~16E - the amount left from my shipping costs when they replaced me bad 2010 BU set (if you remember story "glue dots on coins" )
For next year I authorized them only to take small amount from my credit card and I added comment that other part of money please take from my balance, and it succeed.

it is strange i had a letter from them with my saldo of 1 € so i command the 2 € CC and i only had to pay 23 € instead of 24

so i think my balance at the end of the year should be zero

If you watch ebay and you are not in a hurry you can buy San Marino coins very often cheaper than from AASFN - although I don't like ebay...
I prefer auction platforms like www.muenzauktion.com (in German language) or delcampe.

Same story for me , 2 coins ordered and paid but only one delivered...
SO I bought the second to a coin dealer and I received a coincard with Italian Coin, see: http://www.euroswapper.info/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1565 regarding mctr message I don't know what I can think about it.
Anyway From several year I bought my coins to AASFN I never had any problem but in 2012 the situation change and I'm not the only one who have problem with them , maybe something change in San Marino ?
