Shipping Cost Vatican BU set out of Vatican

Today i have received my BU set 2014 of the Vatican. As customer i paid 35€ + 4€ shipping cost for registered shipment.
This has been like this since i was customer years ago...but today my mailman had to ask me 15,06€ extra before he could give me my package.

When i looked at the package, it had a letter included of the customs (douane): 3,06€ BTW (VAT/TVA) and 12€ (!!!) 'formalities'.

When i called Bpost (Belgium Postal Office) they said this cost comes from the value/weight and some other 'things' of the package...

Is there anyone else (especially from Belgium) that had this ???

in February,
I received the envelope numismatics " RIO ", 45€.
But:
VAT import Belgium: 3.42€
Formalities: 12.00€


yesterday, I received my BU 2014, the medal and the coincard.
VAT import Belgium: 4.17€
Formalities: 12.00€

The expenses of formality (12€) are for the expenses of Bpost !!!!
The letter does not come from the customs, but from Bpost.

I read that some people in German have the same problem with extra costs from customs.
Fortunately in Greece we don't have any extra costs at the moment.

It is the same in Slovenia.
Vatican is not EMU member, so we have to pay VAT+ handling fee, if value of shipment is higher than 23€ I think. But it depends how lucky you are...sometimes customs don't open shipment...
This is the same also for Monaco and San Marino (and also for Andorra in the future, I suppose)

That's why I don't order San Marino BU sets directly from AASFN, because it is cheaper if I buy it from coin dealer...

If charging on the card by the BU did so on 21 March.

The BU more coincard 50 cts.

Hello,

Yesterday I recieved my sending form Vatican Also.
Extra custom costs 17,58 euro.
Caled Bpost, their anser:
- Vatican is no EU member in customs.
- I was "unlucky" they controled the parcel
- It is possible that in the next 10 years it never happens again
- The man from Bpost was perhaps "to hard working".......
Belgium is funny.....

But be patient... At least in the past it took quite a long time to be put on subscription list... I waited almost 3 years and write them every few months...
