Yes . . interesting news . . If the new coins are designed in a similar way to the existing Netherlands coins but with the new King they may end up looking similar to the Luxenbourg coins. Difference is the Dutch coins have the head facing left and the Luxembourg coins face to the right.

Surely Finland will issue a €2 commemorative coin in 2013? I would be surprised if they did not do one.
But wouldn't it be nice if Ireland finally issued a €2 commemorative coin that was not a common issue commemorative?
The Irish must have something to commemorate you would think? Maybe Gaelic ...

Well if you guys in Europe follow the lead of Australia this is what will happen ... :D
Over here the $1 note was replaced by a $1 coin in 1984. 8-)
Then in 1988 the $2 note was replaced by a $2 coin. :shock:
Then in 1991 the 1 cent and 2 cent coins were discontinued never to be used again ...

I have seen they are available on ebay so they are around.
